Mauritius is an island nation. Location: Southern Africa, island in the Indian Ocean, east of Madagascar. In addition to the island of Mauritius, the Republic includes the islands of St. Brandon, Rodrigues and the Agalega Islands.
This is a historic French map from 1791 depicting Mauritius (then called "Isle de France") by Rigobert Bonne. He was French cartographer and mathematician.
