Cape Verde is an island country, 570 kilometres off the coast of Western Africa, located in the central Atlantic Ocean, west of Senegal. Capital and largest city is Praia. Cape Verde has 10 islands divided into two groups:
The Ilhas de Barlavento (Eng. windward islands): Santo Antão, São Vicente, Santa Luzia, São Nicolau, Sal, Boa Vista
The Ilhas de Sotavento (Eng. leeward islands): Maio, Santiago, Fogo, Brava.
Western Sahara is located in North Africa. The largest city is El Aaiun also called Laayoune. It borders with by Mauritania (east and south), Atlantic Ocean (west), Morocco (north) and Algeria (northeast).
