It bordered with Burma and Laos (north), Laos and Cambodia (east), Gulf of Thailand and Malaysia (south) and Andaman Sea (west). Its maritime boundaries include Vietnam in the Gulf of Thailand (southeast) and Indonesia and India in the Andaman Sea (southwest).
