Croatia is located in Southeastern Europe . The local terrain is quite diverse given the size of the country. There are low mountains and highlands near the Adriatic coastline and islands, flat plains along the Hungarian border. Part of Croatia is a barren, rocky region lying in the Dinaric Alps. The Zagorje region north of the capital, Zagreb, is a land of rolling hills, and the fertile agricultural region of the Pannonian Plain is bordered by the Drava, Danube, and Sava Rivers in the east. Croatia‘s strategic location gives it control over most land routes from Western Europe to the Aegean Sea and the Turkish Straits. The country’s natural resources include petroleum, some coal, calcium, bauxite, low-grade iron ore,  natural asphalt, silica, mica, clays, salt and hydropower. Over one-third of Croatia is forested.

Hi! My name is Morgan. I like this website a lot, but the thing is, im in 7th grade, and im doing a report on Croatia. The maps are great, but i wish you could have a more blown up map, and something i could label myself. My teacher doesnt want us “cheating” and printing off a pre-labled map, so i basically need an outline of Croatia, if you could provide that, that would be the only thing you need to have like a perfect website on Europe. Thank you so much for your time reading this, i appreciate it!
