Short name is Bolivia and official name is Republic of Bolivia, named after Simón Bolívar. It is bordered by Paraguay and Argentina (south), and Chile and Peru (west), Brazil (north and east). From 1839 Sucre was the seat of government until the administrative capital was moved to La Paz in 1898.
